Colour theory in practice training for make-up tattoo artists

Colour theory training in practice for make-up tattooists

Many colleagues ask the question, am I working with the right pigment range? What is the reason why I am not getting the right cured colour as a result of the treatment and am experiencing colour distortion over time? Could it be that we have chosen the wrong pigment, or that we do not recognise the right colour temperatures, skin tones, colour depths and contrasts? Perhaps we have no idea what the pigment we have chosen for our tattoo is made up of, and what colours produce what results in response to which external influences? What affects the temperature and depth of colour of the skin tone? How does this affect the colour of the healed skin image?

If you would like information about how cosmetic pigments work, how they are made, what they contain, how the skin reacts and many other important information, join us for our colour theory training.

The main topics are:

  • Pigment production, composition
  • Colouring materials
  • Organic versus Inorganic Pigments
  • The behaviour of pigments in the skin, recognising the right undertones in practice
  • Altones, skin types of nations, nationalities
  • Pigment, colour mixing exercise
  • Geographical factors to consider when tattooing, and many other interesting topics.

If you would like to be aware of these questions, come to Melinda Gáspár's practical colour theory training, based on her international experience as an international make-up and aesthetic tattoo master.

Our Pigmentology training can be useful for all make-up professionals who want to deepen their knowledge on the right choice of colour, skin tone and pigment pairing. The training is based on world-class organic and inorganic pigments with special anti-absorbent coatings to help you achieve the perfect colour application. The basic aim of the 8-hour course is to provide a practical introduction to the laws of colour theory. The process of colour selection can be experienced individually. Candidates will have the opportunity to learn about the full colour gamut, which consists of more than 160 pigments. In the second half of the training, the determination of skin tone depth and colour temperature will be practised through case studies.
