Medical tattooing

Human medical tattoos

The solution is at hand...

or, how to combine medical aesthetic treatments and make-up tattooing?!

The medical tattoo

In Hungary, we can read about a procedure known to few people, which can improve the quality of life of many people, these are medical tattoos, such as stria, vitiligo, scar removal, areola correction, or scalp tattooing.Post-accident scars, scars from accidents, surgical scars, pigment abnormalities, areas of pigment deficiency (e.g. vitiligo, leucoderma cases), post-operative plastic surgery abnormalities, skin injuries, burns, nipples and areola after reconstructive plastic surgery following breast removal, complete or partial reconstruction of the nipple and/or areola with a pigment deficiency, with the same shape and colour as the original. All this even for men! And it doesn't end there!

Medical tattooing for different diseases

Hair loss caused by various diseases (e.g. alopecia) or hair loss resulting from chemotherapy treatment for cancer (e.g. eyebrows, eyelashes) can be corrected with several techniques, even before chemotherapy treatment, in consultation with the oncologist. A further procedure is hair thickening, whereby a medical tattoo of the scalp can be used to correct hair loss, even in men, by correcting a lack of hair at the rotator cuff or to replace the appearance of hair that has fallen out in patches. Tens of thousands of women are bothered by stretch marks, which can also be treated extremely quickly and effectively. And last but not least, a deviation of the mouth, called "rabbit lips", can be corrected, giving a new "perfect" natural shape to the mouth and the area above the mouth.

Almost any area can be treated with a long-lasting solution, especially Vitiligo, accidental or surgical scars, stretch marks, but also, for example, the total or partial correction of Areola. The treatment involves mixing special medical pigments to blend the same colour of the skin and area completely and inject it under the dermis, so it can provide a solution to problems for years, of course these will "fade" out of the skin over time, so a refresher treatment every 1-2 years is recommended.

Frequently asked questions about medical tattooing

What is the difference between a make-up tattoo and a medical tattoo?
The ink used in medical tattooing is matched to the skin's base tone, with special pigments that match the skin's tone. It can also be used effectively to cover accidental or surgical scars, burns, stretch marks, lack of pigmentation and traces of pigment.

Can I still have a medical tattoo after chemotherapy and serious medication?
Yes. Although it is necessary to consult an oncology specialist before the procedure, some medical tattoos can be done before chemotherapy for cancer in certain cases.

How much does a medical tattoo cost?
The price will be determined after consultation in each case. It depends primarily on the size of the area. If you want to get an exact idea, you can find more information on our website under Prices. If you have any further questions, our staff will be happy to help you by phone or e-mail. Feel free to contact us!

I am balding in patches. It really bothers me. Do you have a solution?
Yes, of course. Among our medical tattoos, we have also replaced the procedure of hair threading. This actually means that the lack of hair on the scalp can be corrected with a medical tattoo. It can be used for rotation as well as for hair loss in patches.

Can you help me get rid of postpartum stretch marks?
Yes. This type of skin defect can also be treated quickly and effectively with medical tattooing.

How painful is a medical tattoo?
This depends largely on the patient's pain threshold. It is not so much painful as a little uncomfortable in some cases, but even this can be greatly alleviated with a local anaesthetic.

In what cases is medical tattooing not recommended?
It is not recommended during pregnancy, and during breastfeeding, we usually draw attention to the possibility of milk loss due to trauma to the skin and body during tattooing. Also, if the patient is ill or has a fever. In case of chronic or long-lasting illness, medication, a medical consultation is necessary before any procedure.

How many treatments do the procedures consist of?
Minor skin imperfections can be effectively and visually corrected in as little as one treatment, but more serious procedures such as areola tattoos require more appointments. Our specialists can provide you with precise information during a personal or telephone consultation.

Can I get a medical tattoo in the summer?
Yes, you just need to be more careful not to expose the tattooed area to direct sunlight during the healing period. It is also recommended to use a sunscreen after the tattoo to ensure that the skin around the tattooed area does not tan drastically.

How long does a medical tattoo remain beautiful and aesthetic?
Medical tattoos can provide a solution for many years, but medical pigments also fade and fade from the skin over time. That's why we offer our patients refresher treatments every 1-2 years to prolong and perfect the final result.

How long does it take after surgery to get a medical tattoo?
It varies a lot, at least half a year, but it can take up to 1 year for the scar to heal.
The main thing is that the scar has to be whitened, we can't treat a pink or red area because it's still healing.
