In Hungary, it is now possible to complete the basic training in make-up tattooing in an increasing number of places. Under current regulations, it is open to those who have already mastered the profession of beautician.
A few years ago, anyone could have an OKJ qualification in a few months, but it is a question of how much real knowledge is behind it, because you can't really learn a new profession in a few months. For many months, the reform of the vocational training system has been a topic in education, and the Vocational Training Act has been amended, with the amendment coming into force in 2020. From then on, vocational training will be provided exclusively by vocational training institutions.
If you have completed the cosmetology school and the appropriate basic training in make-up tattooing, you can achieve an outstanding income with our quality work.
But it's not that simple... There are start-up costs that can run into millions of forints!
How does it all add up?!
Let's have a look!
There are so many one-day make-up tattoo basic courses nowadays that only cover one topic, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone! These crash courses don't give you the confidence and knowledge, so you can end up with a lot of tattoos that are not right, or the student doesn't even start working because they feel they don't have the confidence to work.
This is when they come to us for a full basic course, where they learn all three modules (not in three days) and gain the confidence and knowledge they need.
A starter kit with used equipment in a cheaper version ranges from HUF 500,000 to 1 million. However, we know the saying: "Cheap meat is thin on the ground!"
That's right, you will be judged on your work! If you do poor, unprofessional, bad quality make-up tattoos, your customers will be dissatisfied and you will get negative reviews, which will spread much faster than positive reviews!
So, if you want to get started in make-up tattooing, choose a company that has a lot of experience behind it, a small group of people to work with and lots of practice in make-up tattooing training.
Basic training in make-up tattooing at the GM Academy
At our GM Academy, a basic training course in make-up tattooing consists of 9 days of instruction.
It starts with a 3-day theoretical session, where students receive a thorough instruction on everything, a textbook and a workbook with plenty of practice.
After 2 weeks of practice at home, drawing and learning, 4 days of practical training will start, where you can first put the knowledge gained from a lot of homework into practice on latex. Here you will work with your own tattoo machine.
This is followed by a practice exam on a live model, and then the final exam, where students receive a Biotek Diploma after passing the exam.
In all cases, we run small group training sessions to ensure practicality.
If you're interested in the profession, or if you already have the knowledge but don't feel you have enough, apply for our training:
